What are the MOQs?
Minimum order quantity is typically 1 case. Depending on distance from facility and if the order contains cold brew, we will ask to increase the order for delivery.
Are there any prerequisites?
There are no prerequisites needed to get started with us!
I buy a lot of coffee, can I get a discount?
We offer our wholesale pricing to established businesses for resale. Our wholesale pricing is not available to individuals.
Do I have to sign a contract to work with you?
We do not require any type of contract or agreement to purchase and work with us. We understand that flexibility in purchasing decisions is paramount. We do not hold you to staying with us for a certain time period or exclusively offer our coffee.
How far do you deliver?
We deliver within the greater Philadelphia area, within 50-75 miles of the city. You can view our delivery range here
We also work with multiple distributors, as well as ship coffee direct via our shipping partners.

What coffee do you offer?
Are there different sizes?
We offer our retail packages in 12oz bags, 6 units per case. We also offer 5lb bulk bags in whole bean or ground to your specification.
Can I get a custom roast?
We offer the option for custom roasts and blends to our established partners. Reach out to your sales rep to learn more - sales@backyardbeans.com
Can I get ground coffee in 12oz bags?
Our 12oz bags are exclusively whole bean coffee. We can make exceptions for large, one time orders for certain situations, but we do not offer ground coffee for resale.
There's a coffee on your website I can't get wholesale, why?
We roast and offer certain microlot and limited release coffees exclusively to our direct customers and cafes. These coffees aren't available wholesale.
I want a specific single origin year round, why don't you have it?
Our single origins are a rotating coffee based on the season it is harvested.
Coffee is harvested around the world year round at different times based on location. We strive to offer the freshest crop year round, so there are times certain regions coffees aren't ideal to purchase and roast.

What cold brew do you offer?
What are the different packages?
We have multiple 12oz can varieties, a 64oz Bag in Box dark roast (think wine in a box) and 5 gallon kegs for tap systems.
Can I order cold brew?
Our cold brew is a fresh product that requires constant refrigeration. Due to this, we cannot ship our cold brew from our facility and guarantee freshness.
We are limited to the greater Philadelphia area for direct delivery. If you want to know if you are able to order cold brew direct, email us at sales@backyardbeans.com
I'm outside of your delivery range, what can I do?
We work with distributors to offer our cold brew outside of our direct delivery range. If you are capable, UNFI is our preferred distributor partner for cold brew. We also offer our dark roast through The Webstaurant Store.
I want to serve cold brew on tap, do you offer equipment?
We do not offer equipment for rent or lease. We can provide recommendations on what equipment to use based on your space and requirements. Occasionally we will have some for sale.
If you do have a set up, we can help source parts and make sure everything is installed correctly.

I have an account and I am ready to order, what now?
Once we get your information and follow up with your account sign in info, you are set to order. If you haven't sent over your info yet, fill out the questionnaire here.
To sign in, go to wholesale.backyardbeans.com and enter your information. The store will open up and you can fill your cart by navigating the product menus and viewing products. Once you get everything you need, proceed to the cart and check out. It's as easy as shopping online anywhere else!
I placed an order, when will it show up?
We operate on a roast to order weekly schedule. We deliver to the greater Philadelphia area based on region. You can view our delivery map here.
Orders are delivered within 5-7 business days. We recommend ordering early in the week - we do our best to deliver all orders placed by Tuesday EOD within the same week.
I am outside of your delivery range, how will my coffee get to me?
For customer's outside of our delivery range, you can still order whole bean/ground coffee. Cold brew is not available to ship.
We ship our coffee via UPS ground. There are no additional shipping fees or costs, unless a rush order needs to be placed.
My delivery is incorrect/late/damaged! Who do I yell at?
Reach out to orders@backyardbeans.com and our production and fulfillment team will get it fixed for you ASAP!

I placed an order, can I pay right away?
We do not take payment up front.
All orders are screened for fulfillment purposes. We ensure we are able to produce, package, fulfill and deliver orders prior to invoicing.
Invoices are provided two ways: We attach/provide a paper copy of the invoice at time of delivery - either affixed to your package if shipped, or signed by you at time of delivery. Invoices are also email digitally to the billing email on file.
How do I pay? Do you take cash/card/check?
Acceptable forms of payment are:
Check on delivery
Check via mail
Credit/Debit card via electronic payment
Bank Transfer/ACH via electronic payment
What are the payment terms?
Our terms are Net 30 - meaning we expect payment to be made within 30 days of invoice generation. Invoices are generated at the time of order placement.
I didn't get an invoice, what gives?
Every order that leaves our facility will have a paper copy alongside it. If that gets lost or thrown out, we send invoices regularly via the billing email provided at time of customer account creation.
If you are not receiving emails, please let us know. Adding accounting@backyardbeans.com to your contacts should help any filters (spam or otherwise) from affecting email delivery.
I can't pay. What now?
We understand that running a business isn't easy. If you ever have issues keeping up, let us know sooner rather than later.
We monitor our accounts for delayed, late, and missed payments. We reserve the right to halt orders and shipments without notice.
